This episode deals with the Ami's father who was (I think) absolutely absent in the old anime. I think it's great that it dealt with this part to show the loneliness of Ami back from Arc 1. And the message is, it's ok even if you're not together, the happiness you had together will always be in your heart. Plus, if you're Sailor Mercury, you'll always have Sailor Moon cheering you on.
Mercury goggles in action please. First time we see Shine Snow Illusion (and last if I remember correctly). I like how it actually created illusions unlike the old Shine Aqua Illusion which was basically just Water Gun..

Mercury couldn't defeat Berthier and was trapped in a water bubble. Venus arrived with her Love Me Chain to disorientate Berthier and Moon killed her :( Jupiter could have shocked Ami to death in that water bubble but she couldn't even break it.
